Mark believes the best workplaces are built on trust and belonging — and he brings that same spirit home to his favorite team: his wife and three kids, who remain his greatest teachers.
From Campfires to Boardrooms
Drawing on his background in education and leadership, Mark specializes in helping teams increase engagement, positivity, accountability and trust through customized leadership programs and coaching. Through his own journey of self-discovery, he uncovered a gift for teaching others how to build meaningful, positive connections with the most important people in their lives. As it turns out, the lessons learned around campfires and s’mores translate remarkably well to the corporate world. Mark’s approach has been shaped by more than two decades of experience running Chicago’s number one summer day camp, where he learned firsthand the power of a strong organizational culture and the importance of developing people. His family opened Fred’s Camp, a private summer day camp in Chicago, in 1994 with just 25 campers. This past summer, their 31st, the camp welcomed more than 300 families and worked alongside 90 incredible team members.
